These terms govern your use of the Burning waitlist and, once launched, the Burning app. By joining the waitlist you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, simply don't sign up — no hard feelings.
Acceptance
By joining the Burning waitlist you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms. We may update them as the product evolves — we'll notify waitlist members of any significant changes by email.
What the Waitlist Is
Joining the waitlist reserves your place in the Burning alpha. It does not constitute a purchase or financial commitment of any kind. You will not be charged anything by joining this list.
What We Promise You
We will notify you when alpha access opens. We will not charge you anything at the waitlist stage. We will not sell your email. We will not send you irrelevant communications.
What You Agree To
- — You confirm you are 18 years of age or older.
- — You agree to receive launch communications from Burning. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- — You provide a valid email address that you own and have the right to use.
The Financial Commitment Mechanic
Important — read this section carefully
When you join the app and create a commitment, you authorize Burning to charge your chosen stake amount only if you miss your deadline. No charge occurs if you complete your commitment and submit your proof on time.
- — Charges are processed securely through Stripe. Burning never stores your card details.
- — You choose your stake amount before each commitment begins. All stakes are final once a commitment is active.
- — You may cancel a commitment before it begins without any charge.
Donations
Failed stakes are donated to charity. Burning does not retain failed stake funds as revenue. Specific charity partners will be disclosed in the app at the time of commitment creation.
Limitation of Liability
Burning is a commitment accountability tool. We are not responsible for outcomes related to your personal goals. The app does not provide medical, financial, or professional advice of any kind. Use it to build habits — not as a substitute for professional guidance.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll notify waitlist members of any significant changes by email before they take effect. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
